Financial contribution
The Norwegian state provides financial contributions to all registered faith and life stance communities, calculated as a per capita amount based on the annual financial support to the Church of Norway. This financial support system is enshrined in article 16 of the recently amended constitution. By 2021, the amount per capita was NOK 1310, or approximately EUR 130.
In addition to this official system, most faith communities receive financial support from their congregants, but no official numbers on the amounts involved are available.
