Church participation

% 1999 2008 2017
Never 10.4 16.1 19.6
Seldom 9.7 20.1 20.9
Occasionally 27.0 22.1 24.1
Monthly 21.1 16.2 12.3
Weekly 31.4 24.3 22.6

European Value Research data verifies the decline in regular church participation from 1999 to 2017. The fall is visible in categories “monthly” and “weekly”. Accordingly, the share of those who “never” and “seldom” attend the church doubled.
